Man in the Mirror and American Baptist Men USA Announce Exciting New Partnership

Man in the Mirror and American Baptist Men USA are pleased to announce an exciting new partnership effective November, 2010.  The ministry-denominational partnership will leverage the strengths of both organizations to enhance discipleship efforts for men in churches throughout the country.

American Baptist Men USA (ABMen), based in Parkersburg, West Virginia, estimates that they have over a half million men in over 5,500  churches in the U.S.  “We’re excited to bring the vast products, tools and resources from Man in the Mirror to our men’s leaders,” said Dave Cross, Treasurer of ABMen. “We want to see leaders trained in the No Man Left Behind model so that they can more effectively reach and disciple men. We’re excited to seem them take advantage of the church events, Bible Studies, small group curriculum and other resources that Man in the Mirror offers.”

Man in the Mirror will provide ABMen with No Man Left Behind leadership training at discounted rates and help ABMen develop a team of ministry specialists so that effective and sustainable ministry for men can be conducted throughout the body of their denomination. Plans are already underway to provide ABMen with a national training event in the coming year.

Man in the Mirror has developed similar partnerships with almost a dozen other denominations, according to Brett Clemmer, vice president at the ministry. “We focus on men’s discipleship, not any specific denominational theology,” he explained. “We want to see every church effectively disciple every man God brings them.”

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,  to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”  (Eph 4:11-13)
