Man in the
Mirror
Bible Study

1. Do you think you fully appreciate the profundity of eternal life and, if so, when did it come to you? 2. Today's text tells us (in a manner of speaking) that Jesus would rather win souls that eat! In verses 34-36, what did Jesus say was his "food"? What did he mean? 3. Verse 35 says that people are "ripe for harvest." Has this been your experience? What would have to be true for you to be able to comment about your experience? Can you see how some men might draw their conclusions based on "impressions" rather than real experience? 4. Verse 38 says "I sent you." Sent for what? How hard is it according to this passage? What's involved in bringing in the spiritual harvest? 5. The better we know Jesus, the more we experience his love, the more we love him in return, the more we know what to share, and the more we want to share what we know. How motivated are you to "just talk about the love of Jesus"? Would you rather win souls than eat? What, if anything, would inspire you to talk about him more? Can you think of one person who needs to about the love of Jesus? Would you be willing to talk to them today or tomorrow about the love of Jesus? Table Leaders: Close in prayer giving men an opportunity to pray for anyone who needs to experience God's unmerited, unconditional love (including for themselves). |
