Session 6 - A Man and His Worldview
|
1. What has you in bondage, or has held you in bondage in the past? How has it crippled you? 2. We could describe being "transformed by renewing your mind" as developing a Christian worldview. Ron Nash says, "A worldview is a set of beliefs about the most important issues of life (God, mankind, reality, knowledge, and morality). It is a conceptual scheme (system, story) into which we fit everything we believe and from which we interpret and judge reality." How does your current worldview prevent you from believing the truth of the Bible expressed in Luke 13:10-17, or elsewhere? 3. According to Romans 12:2 how do we renew ourselves, and what happens when we do this? Why are we placing so much emphasis in this Biblical Manhood series on the heart over behavior? Are we saying behavior doesn't matter, or are we saying something else? 4. ANSWER ONE OF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS.... If you had no other constraints, what would you do (or have you done) to develop and maintain a Christian worldview? Describe your ideal program. Or, Do you need deliverance from a bondage? Name it, and pray for renewal and transformation in your thinking and believing. |
