Free Economic Meltdown Books for Your Congregation

Economic meltdown? Been there. In the 1980s, I was a real estate developer in Florida. Then came the Tax Reform Act of 1986. Every day for the next seven years I woke up fighting a multi-million dollar bankruptcy.

By God’s grace, I was able to avoid bankruptcy and not only survive, but experience extraordinary spiritual growth. In fact, it was during those years that I wrote The Man in the Mirror. Now, I want to share what I learned and help others.

So when the stock market collapsed in September, 2008, I wrote How to Survive the Economic Meltdown. Then, a few weeks ago, I realized a lot of parents can’t afford to take their children to McDonald’s, much less afford a book. So I decided to give the book away to anyone who wants a copy—no strings attached. I’m on a mission.

I want to get the word to as many churches as possible to put a “free book” announcement in their church bulletins—preferably for several weeks in a row, given the “five touch” rule for getting people’s attention. Here’s the suggested bulletin announcement:

Bestselling Author’s New Book on the Economic Meltdown: Yours for Free
Patrick Morley, author of 16 books including The Man in the Mirror, spent seven years fighting an economic meltdown and survived. He chronicles the spiritual, practical, and financial lessons he learned in How to Survive the Economic Meltdown. Download a free PDF copy at www.survivethemeltdown.org. No strings attached.

How can you help? First, put this announcement in your church’s bulletin for several weeks. Second, email, fax, or blog this to your pastor friends. Third, if you have denomination-wide influence, blast this out to your churches. There’s no limit on the number of free books.

For the glory of Christ and no other reason,

Patrick Morley, Ph.D.
