1. What do we mean by "expensive" decisions? What is the most expensive decision you have ever made? How far reaching has the impact been?

2. Read the story of the Gibeonite ruse in Joshua 9. One of the main reasons decisions turn out to be expensive is mentioned in Joshua 9:14. What should they have done? Why didn't they? What are the implications for us?

3. Read Judges 20:18-21. Unlike the men in Joshua 9:14, these men did inquire of the Lord but it still turned out badly. What went wrong, and why? What should they have done differently? What are the implications for us?

4. Are you faced with any decisions right now that could turn out to be expensive? Do you plan to do anything differently as a result of this message and discussion and, if yes, how so?
