1. Describe how someone has made a big difference in your life by their unrequired kindness.

2. In today's text David performs an act of extreme kindness. What was it, and why did he do it? (cf. 1 Samuel 20:14-15 and 2 Samuel 4:4).

3. The Bible has a special name for this type of kindness: hesed. How does hesed point us to Christ?

4. Perhaps nothing points someone more strongly to Christ than acts of unrequired lovingkindness. Where can you spread some hesed today, and why would you want to?
