Discussion Questions

1. Once you become aware that you have sinned, how do you usually respond? Do you stonewall, pout, deny it, explain it, pretend you didn't, blame others, repent, or something else? Why do you think you respond that way?

2. Once David realized he had sinned, what did he do in 2 Samuel 24:10, 14, 17, and 25? What does that suggest for how you respond when you realize you've sinned?

3. Once God saw that David was repentant, what did he do in 2 Samuel 24:12, 15, 16, and 18-19? What is it about God that makes him act so sternly and so mercifully?

4. How will you respond the next time you realize you have sinned? How can the other men at your table help you?
