How is it That Men Come to Follow Jesus?

John 1:35-50

Questions

1. In John 1:37, Jesus asks the two disciples that are following him "What do you want?" What are the answers men today give when faced with the same question?

2. Jesus used different approaches when engaging each of the disciples. Because He already knew them, He knew how each of them would respond. How does this demonstrate the way we should engage others for Christ?

3. In John 1:45, Nathanael, like most of the Jews, was expecting the Messiah to be like King David not a suffering servant. What do people today want Jesus to be? Why do we often seek the Jesus we want rather than the Jesus who is?

4. Do you think people around you sense the need for a savior? What would it take for them to be receptive to Jesus?
