Dom Odom Reports from Pensacola
We were recently asked to help with the NCMM exhibit at the Promise Keepers conference in Mobile, AL. We were able to provide information about FMI and the upcoming Iron Sharpens Iron conferences in West Palm Beach and Gainesville. The response and feedback were overwhelming. Thousands of men approached our table and were able to walk away with information in hand about Florida Men of Integrity. In May, we were invited to teach a weekly Bible study at Liberty House, a Christian Men’s half-way home for men recovering from a variety of addictions. We created a Bible study to start off with entitled “Ordinary Men, Extraordinary God,” a detailed look at the faults and failings of the twelve Apostles and the mighty way in which Jesus used them to shape the church. Nathan McCoy, a Liberty House resident said, “This is great, because I can see myself in each one of these guys. They had the same issues I deal with and God still used them anyway. That gives me hope that God can still use me with everything I’ve done wrong.” The study has been such a success that we’ve been asked to continue teaching on Thursday nights with new material once this study has been completed.
