This training has shown to be effective and is now being sought for use across America. As the regional Director for Florida Men of Integrity I have been discipling men for more then 15 years and one of the most common issues men deal with is a troubled marriage. Since becoming Field Staff Directors for DNA ministries my wife Wendy and I have given our focus to discipling couples to experience abundance in their marriage relationships.

Wendy and I are excited to be a part of a plan instituted by First Baptist Church of Tequesta Florida. This church is renting a theater for the showing of FIREPROOF to church and community couples. Then the following weekend they have invited Wendy and I to do an Unlimited Partnership Marriage Workshop on October 10th & 11th. We’ve all seen the statistics: Marriages in this country are as likely to fail as they are to succeed. It’s not a pretty picture, and it’s not the way God intended marriage to work. God doesn’t want you to have a good marriage…He wants you to have an abundant marriage.

God has been doing great things in the panhandle of Florida. Florida Men of Integrity is continuing to make an impact on the lives of men in this area. Our continued work with the House of Liberty for Men has been an overwhelming success. The House of Liberty…or Liberty House as it’s commonly called…is a Christian

based ministry to men who have found that their problems have risen up and overwhelmed them in all the ways that sin and circumstances engender. The goal of the House is to bring these men into a full realization of who they were meant to be and a fullness of joy as disciples of Jesus. They are offered friendship, Bible study, and a structured life style during their stay in the big yellow house.

The men come to the House from all walks of life and they hear about the House in a variety of ways; word of mouth, mental health programs, prison personnel are a few. The average stay is a year. This may be much longer or much shorter depending on how fruitful their time seems to be. FMI has been actively leading a weekly Bible Study for the men in the House. For the past six months, we have been leading a study on how to achieve authentic, Biblical masculinity. In addition to the Bible Study, FMI sponsored a cookout for the men, serving them hamburgers and hot dogs and home- made banana pudding.

In addition to our work with Liberty House, Florida Men of Integrity has also recently partnered with Interfaith Jail Ministries in Escambia County. Through this partnership, FMI will be going into the county jail and lead a weekly men’s Bible Study to the incarcerated inmates. We will also be available to the inmates for spiritual counseling and guidance and will assist the men in finding a home in a local men’s ministry upon their release. God continues to open doors in this area and we are excited about the future of FMI in this area!
