disciplemen.com Phase 2.5 – Coming Soon to a Computer Near You!
As the long-time subscribers to the disciplemen.com Insiders Update will note, the official release of the website's 2nd Beta Phase (Beta Phase II) has been active since April 12, 2007. Officially unveiled during the NCMM meeting in Kansas City this year, Phase II has garnered considerable support from the Men's Ministry Movement with the site now featuring more than 700 registered users! More and more discipleship leaders are coming to the site on a daily basis in anticipation of our next Beta Phase.
This is why we are happy to announce to you – the Insiders – that Beta Phase 2.5 is literally being polished as you read this. The site will be experiencing ‘outages' over the next few days as we take it offline in order to update the backend/database components and push our latest developments to the live environment.
So what kind of new features can you expect with this release? A good question. Here are some of the main highlights:
- User submitted resources to the Best Practices & Resources section
- New entries into the Leadership Directory
- More information about members of the Leadership Directory
- New search functions throughout the site
- An entirely new 5-Star Ratings system for all resources
- A revised comments/reviews ability, tied to Ratings
- A new design for the How-To's section
- Ratings now added to the How-To's section
- Ability to earn more user points
- Forums to communicate with the community and the developers
These are just some of the new features we are rolling out with this impending release, and we are excited to see how God uses disciplemen.com to help connect discipleship leaders all over the world. We will send out another Insiders Update when the official release is ready to go in order to provide you with advance notice ahead of the general public.
