I’m going to give you a quick update and then I need to ask for your help.
THE UPDATE: I am pleased to announce that the next phase in the life of disciplemen.com is currently in development. Here are some highlights:
- New functionality within the Users Profile – PLEASE UPDATE YOURS TODAY! (just log in at disciplemen.com)
- Enhanced invite ability – you can now invite up to 10 of your friends at once.
- Enhancements to the Forum layouts.
- PLUS: we’re currently working on:
- Enhanced ‘my recommendations’ section – tell other users which resources you have found most valuable
- A new ‘auto-notify’ system to let you keep track of your favorite topics – list your keywords and you’ll be notified whenever a resource is added about that topic
- Reworks to the entire search system to improve quality/results
- Groups! – stay tuned for more info on this!
- Enhanced ‘recent activities’ section
The site continues to grow with more than 2500 current members and some 800 best practices and resources available for use, review and rating by the members. WE STILL NEED MORE MEMBERS AND RESOURCES SO PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING! This is YOUR website, not ours!
THE HELP: Would you please:
- Log in and update your profile
- Upload resources, especially those developed by your church or ministry – so that other leaders can benefit from your experience. (Graphics, spreadsheets, logos, calendars, newsletters, articles, powerpoints – all are welcome.)
- Invite your friends/co-workers/acquaintances - whomever you feel might benefit from using the site
- Consider supporting the site financially – We have underwritten everything so far in developing disciplemen.com, but we need to find a way to pay for ongoing costs. WE NEED YOUR HELP! One idea is to pray that God would raise up 200 leaders who would consider being ‘Angel’ investors and contribute $25 a month toward disciplemen.com. You can donate online, drop us a check in the mail, or email me with other ideas! We won’t be able to finish our current development and sustain the site without additional investments.
- GIVE US FEEDBACK - Use the forums, send me an email, rent a carrier pigeon – but PLEASE let us know how you’re using the site. Is it helping in your area of ministry? How easy are you finding it to use? What else would you like to see? What will make it more useful to you?
