Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." — Matthew 9:37-38 Read through the Bible with Man in the Mirror using The Fourth Seed Devotional. Greetings Brothers, The Christmas decorations are put away and the punch bowl from New Year's Eve has been put back in a box until December 31. We're already three weeks into 2008. Men of Faith Network is ready to hit the ground running this year with a new director and a renewed passion for helping the local church reach and disciple men. Let me start by telling you a little bit about our Executive Director, Alex Santiago. Alex Santiago has been a men's ministry leader since 1996, beginning in a local Hispanic church in Brooklyn, New York. He's been actively involved in reaching and discipling men for Christ in both English and Spanish. Alex has led a regional men's ministry for his church denomination for 2 years, during which time he has successfully completed men's ministry training with Man in the Mirror and also Champions of Honor. He joined Men of Faith Network in 2005 as a regional coalition member for the New York City area with a heart to network local men's ministries among Hispanic and non-Hispanic churches. He did this by organizing and facilitating conferences, seminars and ministry team building. Coming from a broken home with domestic violence and being raised in a crime ridden neighborhood, he experienced the void of a father along with the neglect and abuse. He realized first hand the need for Christ in the lives of men. God called him to be an instrument to “turn the hearts of the fathers to the children” and calling men to a Christ centered relationship. Alex relocated from New York to Florida and has taken on the responsibility to head up the Men of Faith Network . Alex's vision is to continue to build on the Christ centered foundation for MOFN and its current suite of ministry tools such as ministry team building, seminars, conferences, consulting and training materials by partnering with national, regional and local ministries in both English and Spanish. MOFN will continue to be an inclusive networking ministry to reach all men for Christ. Alex and his wife Lily have two children, their son Jeremy and daughter Alexis. Please keep Alex and his family in prayer as they take this responsibility. I look forward to seeing you on March 29 in Washington's Crossing, PA. Your servant in Christ, Happy New Year!
