I trust your summer is going well. Most of you receiving this newsletter have already attended Promise Keepers. You may or may not know that Man in the Mirror is doing Men's Ministry training in concert with PK eight weeks prior to each conference. As you prepare for 2007, pencil in this training 12 weeks prior to your conference date. For those who plan to attend Hershey in September 2007, this training will be available in your region in July.

“Essentials For a Sustainable Ministry to Men” has just been scheduled for October 21^st, 2006 in Reisterstown, Maryland. There will be more details next month on both the MOFN and Man in the Mirror website. We are also looking for a church or organization willing to host one of these seminars in New Jersey for Spring 2007. Please call Bob at 800-929-2536 ext. 122 if interested.

We also welcome Tim Jones from the St. Louis, MO area. Tim is looking for leaders willing to partner with him to create a regional network in the St. Louis area. The particulars are below.

A Network Coming Together In St. Louis
I can imagine a group of men, a coalition if you will, from different faiths and backgrounds coming together for a common cause: furthering God's Kingdom in a city like St Louis, MO. I can see it so well, and I can see the need that local churches have for growth and to make disciples out of men (Matthew 28:19). The vision for a St Louis based coalition would be “Christian men supporting men's ministries citywide.” Men exchanging ideas with other men's groups that have a proven track record. A group of men reaching out to our communities, where we work, go to school, go to worship, and live to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Men that will go through the door of a single parent home to be a positive Christian role model for her children. As Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another.” My name is Tim Jones and the Cross Keys Baptist of Florissant, MO (crosskeysbaptist@sbcglobal.net) will be hosting a workshop, entitled “Making Disciples of Men” this workshop will be held on November 4^th, 2006. Metro Men of Faith, NJ
A Great Dads seminar was presented on June 3 at First Reformed Church, Lincoln Park. Eight men who are part of the Metro Men of Faith assisted in making that a great day
for some Great Dads.

On June 22^nd, Jim Henry, director for MMOF, along with Carl Miller and Rick Gallipoli, traveled to do a Great Dads at the Allenwood Federal Penitentiary in Lewisburg, PA. Sixty-one men and three prison officials attended that meeting. One man committed his life to the Lord for the first time, 16 made re-commitments to Christ, and the rest devoured the literature we brought with us.

A third event is set for Sep. 9^th at Living Word in Dumont, NJ. Twenty men have already registered for that event.

A 4^th seminar is set for Sep. 16^th at Cornerstone Chapel in Pompton Plains, NJ.

Another 35 individuals, churches, and military bases are considering hosting events throughout the NJ / NY metro area.

Jim Henry, for those who don't know him, is a Great Dads Associate, a graduate of the Leadership Training Center for Discipleship & Evangelism in Orlando, FL and is an Ambassador for Promise Keepers and a member of the Advanced Planning Team for the Hershey 2007 Event.

The objective of MMOF is to reach 2000 men between June, 2006 and May 2007 through seminars and various training events.

New York Men of Faith
New York Men of Faith will be hosting an all Spanish men's event in Brooklyn, New York, continuing the awesome impact that is being experienced in this years Promise Keepers conferences, "DESATADO" Librando el poder real de tu corazon. (UNLEASHED: Releasing the raw power of your heart.)

This will be an all Spanish event filled with praise and worship music and dynamic conference speakers. This will be a great time of worship and fellowship.

Promise Keepers Project Update

Over 25,000 men have now received an Unleashing Your Heart Study Guide at a PK Unleashed Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Raleigh, Baltimore or Albany. 125,000 to go! On Saturday afternoon, the men are challenged to gather with three or four others and make plans to go through the six-week follow-up booklet.
