"As 2003 comes to a close, we at United Men of Faith have looked back at the past year and marveled at what God has allowed us to do. Our Lord has empowered us to go deeper in more men’s lives in a greater geographical area than ever before. Here are just a few highlights:

  • Our 23 conferences, seminars, trainings, & fellowships in Eastern Pennsylvania attracted over 1700 men of which over 300 were pastors and lay leaders.
  • Two men accepted Christ, 57 recommitted their lives, and 70 men committed to a men’s small group at our last conference with Patrick Morley of Man in the Mirror.
  • A ministry established at Northampton prison designed to introduce the Gospel & disciple inmates
  • 50 pastors and men’s ministry leaders have been trained in our new facility since our move there in July.
  • 68 in a 4 county area participating in Top Gun Basic Training, a 34 week discipleship program.

May the Lord bless you throughout this Christmas season."

"Many Christians estimate difficulties in light of their own resources, and thus attempt little and often fail in the little they attempt. All God's giants have been weak men who did great things for God because they reckoned on his power and presence being with them."

Hudson Taylor

A survey of over 20,000 parents found that when fathers are involved in their children's education including attending school meetings and volunteering at school, children were more likely to get A's, enjoy school, and participate in extracurricular activities and less likely to have repeated a grade.

33% of America’s 72 million children will go to bed tonight in a home without their biological father. In addition, 40% of the children who grow up in church are not remaining with Christ as adults. These are alarming statistics that require a systemic solution.

Two wonderful steps we can take as Christians are to begin fathering the heart and mentoring young men. That’s why we released The Young Man in the Mirror early this year and The Dad in the Mirror this fall. Now we need your help to get the message out. Publishers today simply print books, send them to the stores and then watch what sells. And usually, what happens in the first six months determines how many people will ultimately hear the message.

We believe the Biblical truth contained in these books has the power to change the world. Our desire to sell more books is not about royalties – it’s about seeing our culture transformed by reaching men. Christian families are in a generational downward spiral that profoundly impacts the future of our nation and the world.

FRANKLY, WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP. Will you join us to reach men and leaders with this message? The only way that will happen is if people buy books from bookstores, and that will only happen by word of mouth. Here are a few suggested steps you could take…

  • Visit a bookstore and talk to the manager and clerks about the books.
  • Write a review on Amazon.com.
  • Send an email to everyone in your sphere of influence suggesting they consider these books.
  • Buy books for the fathers on your Christmas list from a local bookstore.
  • Buy a book for a pastor or leader and hand it to them with a personal note.
  • Study a book with another group of men or men and boys.

As an incentive, if you buy two or more copies of The Dad in the Mirror or The Young Man in the Mirror from a bookstore, call or email us and we will send you a complimentary copy along with an audio/video CD by Pat Morley or David Delk.

We’re in a battle for men’s souls, and one of the ways the battle will be won is to raise the stakes about how important it is to reach the next generation. We pray God’s blessings on you as follow Christ and serve him in reaching men.
