Today's retirees are the healthiest and best-educated generation in history. Finishers Project originated out of the local church to stand in the gap between church members and sending organizations. Finishers Project provides information and immediate world-wide contacts with real opportunities with mission agencies that best fit your goals. The Finishers Project is a safe place to explore. There is no obligation, except to the Lord. It is still true after 2000 years that the harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few. "Everyone I have met in missions as a second-career says the same thing,‘I'm having the time of my life.' " Nelson Malwitz, Finishers Project Director How
could the men of your church be blessed by being educated and involved

to learn more. A recent leader said, “ Well, we've come to the end of The Young Man in the Mirror. It was a great group of guys. We're capping off the study with certificates of recognition signed by me and their fathers in the late service Sunday, then a steak dinner (grilled in 0 degree weather if the forecast holds true!) and the movie Field of Dreams… I'm just starting The Dad in the Mirror and this could be a great study for our men's group and a good gift for the guys on Father's Day.” We want to get this message out to as many leaders as possible. If you will give a copy of either The Dad in the Mirror or The Young Man in the Mirror to a pastor or other leader, we'll send you one for only the cost of shipping ($3.50 for one, $5.00 for both). Call Jim or Tracy today at 800-929-2536 for this special offer. We believe nothing has the potential to change the world like reaching men. We pray God will use these books to help your church reach both fathers and sons for his glory! Of the 7,541 adults surveyed over 32 percent of men had consumed a minimum of five drinks in a row two weeks prior to the study. In addition, 13 percent of them had used marijuana over the past 30 days. Those who were heavy drinkers during their last year in high school were three times more likely to become heavy drinkers during their adult years than those who restrained from drinking in high school. Those who used marijuana during high school were eight times more likely to use it as an adult. And ones who tried other illicit drugs were five times more like to be adult users. How
can you help the young men in your church set godly patterns that will
last a lifetime? On Thursday, February 19 at 4:00 Eastern time we will have a one-hour men's ministry training conference call. Without leaving your desk, you can learn about a system for building a sustainable ministry to men. We'll also take time to answer specific questions facing you in your ministry. Tuition for the call is $15 (to cover call expenses), but tuition fees for the first ten registrants will be waived! Call Jim or Tracy today at 800-929-2536 to register. |
