Men and Marriage
A survey, released by the national marriage project at Rutgers University, attempted to build a profile of the “marriageable kind of man.”

The survey concluded that men who grew up with both biological parents, who had an involved father and who attended religious services regularly were most interested in marriage.

Among unmarried men, 53% said they had no interest in marriage "anytime soon" with 74% saying "at this stage in my life I want fun and freedom". (click here for more information)

Training Opportunities Available
Several training opportunities are available this year for men’s ministry leaders.

The National Coalition of Men’s Ministries National Conference will be held November 11-13 in Washington, D. C. This is an unparalleled opportunity to hear inspiring plenary speakers (including Robert Lewis and Ted Haggard) as well as attend over 35 workshops on ministry to men. Click here to learn more.

The Leadership Training Center at Man in the Mirror has both one-day regional courses and more intensive 2 ½ day trainings in Orlando. The Orlando sessions in Building a Sustainable Men’s Ministry are scheduled for August 5-7, September 23-25, and November 4-6.

Discipling Men’s Hearts one-day events are taking place in cities across America: Rochester NY, July 16-17; Philadelphia PA, July 24; Pittsburgh PA, August 21; Monroe MI, September 10-11; Chesterfield VA, September 24-25; Portland OR, October 1-2; and Wooster OH, October 1-2.

Red Bandanna on Mt. Ranier
In just a few days, Mark McCampbell will be attempting to reach the summit of Mt. Ranier. And he’ll be doing it with a Red Bandanna (www.redbandanna.org).

“In one week, July 19, I’ll be descending from the summit of Mt. Rainier by God’s grace. The transformation process that prepared me now requires action. That summit must be gained! Romans 12:2 says, when we’re transformed, we need to respond, to do something about it. “You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it.” Being transformed requires action – following Christ.”

Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many (2 Cor. 10:11).
