Fathers Care Fatherhood Involvement Increases
Fathers have increased their involvement in their children's lives over the past decade, according to a new survey by the National Center for Fathering. The survey compares fathers' involvement in their children's education with a similar survey conducted in 1999.
Overwhelmingly, the survey shows a positive trend among fathers. Dads are more involved in every area examined by the survey. The greatest increases in father involvement came in "walking or taking your child to school," "attending class events," and "helping your child with extracurricular activities."

Making Life Rich Without Any Money
"At the age of 14," writes Phil, "I still hadn't smelled the inside of a new car, savored a Big Mac, or slipped on a new pair of jeans. But I had a backyard to run in, friends to play with, parents who loved me, and a rock-solid belief that God loved me too." With gentle wit and wisdom, Callaway shares the five characteristics of truly rich people.

"Dear Pam" Advice for Your MIM Church Event
We have a men's event coming up and we're struggling to get men to sign up. Do you have any suggestions that might help us? -Wondering in CA
Dear Wondering, This may sound simple, but if you want men to come, you have to ask them! Make sure each man in your church receives a personal invitation. Go through your church directory and have your leaders each call 5 men a day to personally invite them. Next, make your promotions FUN!! Put a toolbox or something "manly" on your registration table to create interest. Have leaders wearing hard hats, standing at every entrance and shaking hands with each guy as they hand them a flier and encourage them to attend. Do a drawing for a Home Depot card or a round of golf for the men who register on a particular Sunday or by a particular date. Let me know how it goes!
Pam
Over the last 10 years, Pam Adkins has helped churches conduct over 1,000 events for men. We think this makes her the single most experienced men's event specialist in the world! Pam uses questions she has been asked to write this column. All identifying information has been changed to protect the clueless. To use a men's event to get your men into long-term discipleship or to ask a question for this column, email pamadkins@maninthemirror.org.

90 cents of every dollar donated among Evangelicals goes to their churches. The proportion drops, however, as people's spiritual intensity and commitment to Christ decline.
