Field Network Update
Look at all the ministry our Field Network Associates are doing!
Bob Carvalho in El Paso, TX and John Plug in Chicagoland both have a No Man Left Behind Conference scheduled in their areas for March 26-28, 2009. Field associates are working on Washington, D.C., Michigan and Tampa for conferences in the first quarter of 2009.
Ike Newingham in Newport News, VA has a regional seminar event on the calendar for March 6-7, 2009 and is expecting hundreds of men from the mid-Atlantic region. Several more field associates are helping churches confirm dates for seminars in early 2009.
David Dusek and Gary Yagel have Reaching Every Man events in Florida and Maryland scheduled or planned for November, December and January, 2009.
Plus, Field Network Associates are now equipped to offer "You Teach It" seminars to local churches that want to disciple their men.

Church Celebrates Men's Week
The Bible Believers Fellowship Brothers Keepers men's group celebrated its annual men's week with a series of activities under the theme, "Manifest, Now is the Time". The week began with prayer, a talent night that demonstrated how God changes their lives. They reached out to the community through a prison visit, mini-motorcade and a forum focused on men's issues. The week ended with a special morning and evening of worship with Pastor Lester Bradford of New York. Full story here.
Interdenominational help men go from passive to active
R.E.A.L. Men began three years ago in Russ Franklin's living room. "I'm not taking away from attending church on Sunday," Franklin said. "But, men need a place for themselves where they can go and grow in their spiritual lives."
"I see a need in men," Franklin said. "We want to be included. We were never meant to be passive."
In the past five to six months, the group has made good on that promise to be involved. They began an active outreach volunteering in the community, volunteering as well as hosting bowling nights and marriage seminars for their participants. Franklin said Christian and non-Christian guys can be good husbands and good fathers, but they need an outlet. Read more here.

For four years, Montgomery County has partnered with Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry (FHFH) to turn an old saying on its head - when life gives you a rapidly expanding deer population, make venison for the hungry. Dear Pam:
I saw an ad for your "You Teach It" event and wanted to get more information. Does a pastor have to teach this event? What kind of training materials are provided? And are all the men's events offered by MIM available as a You Teach It?

Dear Hoping,
The You Teach It (YTI) Events are awesome as they offer a lot of flexibility for you as the leader with the same amazing results of changed lives!! It does not have to be taught by a pastor, but of course you would want to make sure whoever speaks is approved by your pastor. Most churches will get different men to present one session each. Here are the training materials provided:

- Speaker Notes
- Power Point presentation of the event
- Planning/Promotional Manual
