Looking for a Father-Son Adventure?
If you live out west -- or just wish you did – and you’re looking for an adventure to go on with your son, you’ll definitely want to check out Christ in the Tetons. Here’s what one dad had to say: “Christ in the Tetons may have been the best single thing I could have done with my 14 year old son. He has now woken up and taken notice that it takes work to become an authentic man. Old Dad had some waking up to deal with at the same time.”
This ministry has a number of adventures for fathers and sons to go on, and they include lots of manly stuff – fly fishing, rock climbing, white water rafting, etc. Interspersed with the activities are talks for fathers and sons on authentic manhood. If you are looking to connect or re-connect with your son, don’t put it off. Plan now to share an adventure, and see if Christ in the Tetons is right for you. You can go to their website at www.christinthetetons.org
Don’t Forget! NTC Training Call for Leaders in February
On February 8 at 3 pm (EST), we will hold the first NTC Training Call of 2005. The topic of the call will be An All-Inclusive Men’s Ministry.
Pat Morley, CEO and David Delk, President, will join the National Training Center staff to discuss how to intentionally reach every man in your church without asking already busy guys to do even more. Join us on this call for a new perspective on what it looks like to have a successful men’s ministry. We’ll share practical examples to help you implement this in your church, and have a Q&A time at the end. There is no fee for the call, but you will have to make a long distance call to participate.
BONUS! We are adding a short presentation at the end of the call on upcoming NTC events, news from the developing Leadership Community, and information on a brand new resource available from Man in the Mirror.

Bring Your Team to Spring Training In Orlando
"From baseball I developed a thick skin against criticism. I learned to overlook minor setbacks and focus on the long haul."
Quick! Who said this? Sounds like a good lesson for men’s ministry leaders, doesn’t it?
Spring Training is right around the corner for Major League Baseball, and for Men’s Ministry Leaders too! April 7-9 is your next opportunity to bring your men’s ministry leadership to Orlando for training at the National Training Center. Make your plans now to bring your team to this powerful and practical leadership training opportunity.
Last month, over 45 leaders from California to Georgia, Maine to Texas came to Orlando to attend Building a Sustainable Men’s Ministry, and they loved it. Said one, “[When I came] I expected information. But I was overwhelmed with the amount and value of the information I received.” Another said, “[The course was] dynamic. A jolt of energy. It inspired me to continue the fight.”

Outdoor Ministry – A How-To Conference for Leaders
A frequent question we hear at Man in the Mirror is, “Do you know anything about starting an outdoor ministry?” Actually, we know the most important thing: where to find the experts! Maury De Young is the founder of the Kelloggsville Church Sportspersons Club and the new director of Sportspersons Ministries International. Maury is also an active member of the National Coalition of Men’s Ministries (www.ncmm.org).
They are hosting a one-of-a-kind training conference: Fishing & Hunting With a Mission, in Grand Rapids, Michigan on March 10-12. This conference is designed to help new and existing leaders of outdoor ministries. They’ve been at it for 14 years, so they’ve ironed out the kinks! Click here to download a copy of the brochure in PDF format (Adobe Acrobat). Sign up before February 7 to receive the early bird discount. And do us a favor, tell them you heard about it from Man in the Mirror.
