Do you have a name or slogan for your men's ministry that helps rally the men of your church? We need your help. We are trying to collect men’s ministry names, slogans, logos, and purpose statements to serve as examples for other leaders. National Training Center Schedule Filling Up!

In April, over 50 leaders from as far away as Ireland and South Africa journeyed to Orlando for the Building a Sustainable Men’s Ministry course. Once again we were amazed at the power of the Holy Spirit to unite our hearts in the common cause of reaching and discipling men.

The June 23-25 class promises to be another encouraging time, as 50 leaders from all over the country have already registered.  If you are thinking about coming to the next class, reserve your space now to be sure your team can attend!

There are several regional trainings in the works around the country as well.  Click here to go to the schedule of classes available from the National Training Center.  You can find out if there is a course near you, as well as how to bring one to your area.

HonorBound Names New National Director - Man in the Mirror Attends National Meeting

HonorBound has named its new director, Tom Green.  Tom “is committed to seeing the men of this nation brought into a deeper and more personal relationship with Christ,” according to HonorBound.

Prior to this new role, Tom served as the National Youth Director for the General Council of the Assemblies of God. Chuck Brewster, our longtime friend and champion of men’s ministry is leaving the post to develop a new men’s ministry. Chuck’s advice to Tom? “Don’t worry about making the transition from youth to men’s ministry.  All men think they’re 17 years old anyway.  Just keep doing what you’ve been doing and you’ll be fine!” Here! Here!

In April, Jim Angelakos and Brett Clemmer traveled to Missouri to meet the state directors for HonorBound and welcome the new national director.  “Tom is obviously a Godly man who is committed to the men of the Assemblies of God.  Their Youth Ministries’ loss is definitely a gain for the men’s discipleship movement in America.”  Welcome, Tom!  We’re glad to have you up here with the “big boys!”

A revamped training for men’s small group leaders is now available through the National Training Center.  Men bond shoulder to shoulder, while women bond face to face.  Yet many of the small group language and practices we commonly use are based on a feminine model of relating.
