Miss Something?
This month's MIMBS Series: Hanging out with Jesus, available through podcasts and on our site.
Weekly Briefing - Anger Challenge your men to figure out if they "get angry" or have "an angry spirit." Anger is "a strong feeling of displeasure and belligerence aroused by a real or perceived wrong." An angry spirit, on the other hand, is "the state of always feeling displeasure and belligerence aroused by real or perceived wrongs." Read more here.

Follow One Church's Strategic Planning Process for Discipling Men
MIM VP Brett Clemmer is working with the men's leadership team from his church on a new strategic plan for discipling the men of their church. Using No Man Left Behind along with worksheets from the 2-1/2 day training of the same name, they are developing a plan to reach their men more effectively. You can follow along with this process at wcironmen.blogspot.com, a blog they're using to support the process.

Man in the Mirror is on Facebook!
What is Facebook? Only an online community with 63 million active users, growing at a rate of 3% per week since January 2007. Half of their active users are online in any given day, for about 20 minutes each time. Approximately half are in college, and the fastest growing demographic is over-25 year olds.
How is Man in the Mirror using Facebook? We are experimenting with Facebook as a way of connecting people to the cause of Man in the Mirror and the Men's Discipleship Movement. We are promoting Man in the Mirror books through the Visual Bookshelf.
How can you connect? If you don't yet have a profile on Facebook, go create one. Then, connect with the Man in the Mirror Cause. Just click on Causes and then search for Man in the Mirror. Also, join the Facebook group, "Men's Discipleship Movement-No Man Left Behind." Just click on Groups and search for it. Finally, add the Visual Bookshelf application to your profile and load up your favorite (Man in the Mirror) books.
Then, find your friends online and invite them to the Cause, the Group and to share their favorite books with you on the Visual Bookshelf. Next month we'll give you an update on how this experiment is going. How many people do you think we can connect with? We'll see! |
