NEW SEMINAR FROM MAN IN THE MIRROR!

It's called.  "THE DISCIPLESHIP SEMINAR FOR MEN WHO WANT TO MOVE FROM FOLLOWING WHAT THE WORLD TELLS THEM ABOUT MANHOOD TO WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT IT"

As you can tell, we are developing a new discipleship seminar for men and we need your help in creating a title for the event. Below is a brief description of the four sessions for the event, and working titles for each session.

This event is based on content developed for our Leadership Training Center course, Discipling Men's Hearts. As you can see below, the first three sessions deal with moving from a worldly to a Biblical view of manhood. The final session gives some practical advice on helping men incorporate these concepts into their own lives.

Session One: From Performance To Grace
Christianity is not about behavior modification, it's about heart transformation. This session helps men escape the 'performance trap,' and instead focus their hearts on knowing and following God.

Session Two: From Self-Sufficiency to Faith
Biblical manhood is about being 'faithfully dependent' on God. Men are taught to be self-sufficient. But this inward focus can bring failure and despair to a man's life. This session helps men understand the power of Christ's sacrifice to help them become the men they want to be.

Session Three: From Idols to "Spirit & Truth"
What men say they want usually isn't what they really want. And what they really want often isn't what they really need. This session helps men see how they often pursue happiness through things that have no power give it to them. Instead, knowing and responding to God - worshipping him in 'spirit and truth' - holds the key to true fulfillment.

Session Four: Rewired for Biblical Manhood
How do you become the man God made you to be? As in the parable of the sower, shallow ground and weeds will cause men's faith to wither or be choked. This session provides some simple truths to help men make sure their faith is built on fertile ground.

Follow-up

There will be a six week Life Plan (as usual) that will dive into some of these concepts more deeply. The goal will be to give men an opportunity to explore what the world tells them about success and manhood, what the Bible says, and how this affects the way they live their lives.
