NCMM Conference: There's
Still Time to Register!
The Annual National
Super Conference on Ministry to Men is being held November 11th - 13th
in Washington , D.C. The theme of this year's conference: A Call to
Biblical Manhood. Co-sponsored by the National Coalition of Men's
Ministries and the Washington Area Coalition of Men's Ministries (WACMM),
the event is directed to all men fulfilling leadership roles - in ministry,
the family, in business and the military.
According to Marty
Granger, WACMM Director and President of Faith in the Family International,
the call to biblical manhood is more than just the title of a conference,
but a mindset.
"It's as C.S. Lewis
wrote in the Chronicles of Narnia, a call to go 'higher up, deeper
in' - to further one's understanding of what it means to be a man of God,"
says Granger.
Granger gives a preview
of what promises to be a highlight of the conference: "The first day of
the conference falls on Veteran's Day. We've just received permission
to present a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The ceremony will
be filmed and shown during the opening session," says Granger. "It's an
appropriate tribute, because any man pursuing God's plan for his life
- who is living his life as unto the Lord - is a warrior."
The Call to Biblical
Manhood Conference is being held at McLean Bible Church , McLean , VA
and will feature an array of workshops, exhibits and speakers. President
George W. Bush has been invited as guest speaker for the Friday night
banquet.
Leaders and their
