Mid-Life
By Pat Morley
Unmistakably, the biggest desire of a
man reaching midpoint is, "I want the rest of my life
to count."
He finds himself checking his progress
on his past goals and redefining future goals. This
often brings disappointment, but there are also valuable
lessons to be learned through the process. One of
these is to see that the goal of life is not merely
finishing, but rather to simply finish well, and help
some others finish well too. Success in the second
half is helping others.
Most of us need to spend some time
reflecting on how we've determined success thus far
in our lives, and how we will determine success going
forward.
