If you take virtually every problem in America today, at the root of it you will find the failure of a man (e.g. 93% of prisoners are male and 85% of these come from fatherless homes). Today there are approximately 98,000,000 men in America, 63,000,000 of which don't know Christ. Only 8,000,000 of these are active in discipleship. This would be the equivalent of 12 guys playing on a football team and only 1 of them knowing how to play football.

Now, no man fails on purpose – most wake up in the morning wanting to succeed.

Our desire at Man in the Mirror is to come along side pastors and men’s ministry leaders who are equipping men for success.

Dads That Make a Difference

 

All fathers would be willing to die for their kids;

this seminar will show you how to live for them.

 

Dads That Make a Difference is a dynamic men’s event that will give your men the encouragement and practical insights they need to succeed as Christian fathers, grandfathers, or mentors. This fun, interactive event will engage men both intellectually and emotionally with Biblical truth and challenge them to apply it to their daily lives.

Men will be challenged to examine their understanding of fathering based on their personal experiences, and identify and resolve anything that might be negatively impacting how they relate to their own children or grandchildren.

Men will discuss biblical examples of fathering, and learn how to father the hearts of their children and grandchildren--rather than fathering for performance. They'll be challenged to create a grace-based home.

The event will also give men practical ideas to help them be more effective, regarding boundaries, establishing identity, protection, and priorities.

Dads That Make a Difference is designed to be attractive to newer Christians and those who don't yet know Christ, as well as mature Christians. So make it an outreach event--encourage men to bring others with them from the community!

ALL men will be given the opportunity to join a four-week follow-up group BEFORE they leave the event. Follow-up materials are included with the event.

This event includes:

  • A detailed Event Manual for planning and promoting
  • No Man Left Behind books to prepare your leadership team
  • Full-color bulletin inserts, posters, clip art and more
  • Session Outlines for men to use at the event
  • Follow-up "Life Plan" booklets to facilitate four-week small groups after the event - click to view the content of the Life Plan
  • Dynamic sessions led by an experienced faculty member (Or teach it yourself! We'll equip you.)
 

This is a six-hour event that is usually presented on Friday night and Saturday morning or all day Saturday. The event combines music (provided by the church), faculty presentations, and small group discussions that minister to the men and encourage them to join the four-week groups that meet after the event.
