All-Inclusive Ministry to Men (Part 2)

Last week we suggested your church should have "an all inclusive ministry to men."
As a reminder, the two overriding principles of an all-inclusive men's ministry are:

1. Disciple every willing man in your church and community.
2. Everything that any man does with your church is men's ministry.

An all-inclusive men's ministry tries to maximize the kingdom impact of every interaction with every man, no matter the setting. (Click here to read last week's entire article.)

Here are a few practical ideas for integrating ministry to men into the fabric of your church:

• Help men who assist with parking see themselves as men in ministry. Give them prayer cards each Sunday with the men's ministry logo, a scripture verse, and a prayer request for the church. Ask them to use any down time to pray for the church.
• Encourage men serving in other areas of the church and thank them for being a man in ministry. Include information about them in your men's ministry newsletter or emails - list the men leading the youth mission trip, or the deacons / elders, or the men leading worship. Ask men to pray for them.
• Help men working with children to see themselves as a man in ministry. Provide apron/smocks in the infant classes with the logo of your men's ministry.
• Recruit a men's ministry representative in every adult education class and co-ed small group. His job is not just to make announcements but to try to help make sure men are being discipled in that setting.
• Rally the men to support other events and ministries in the church by adopting them as your ministry. As a men's ministry, do all the setup and breakdown of your next big outreach activity. Rather than reinventing a men's only activity every time, throw your weight behind some events your church has already planned that will reach men.
